Our students launched their first colletion in Ohio - USA

Vanessa is a young woman who lives in the largest indigenous community of Colombia, The Wayuu people. She joined El Origen programs in 2015 when she was at-risk of dropping out school due to financial pressuares. 4 years later Vanessa have became a young entreperneur and she recently co-created in the entreperneurship lab of EL Origen a project to sell accesories made by indigenous women in her community to USA markets. Thanks to our alliance with Ciela Handmade a fashion brand in Ohio, Vanessa launched her first collection on October 2019 which is giving women in her community a way to earn money withouth being forced to leave their way of living and cultural heritage.
